Vertical dryer

The product is fed into the dryer’s inlet hopper and evenly distributed by a leveling screw driven by a geared motor. Drying takes place progressively as the product is transferred sequentially between the dryer’s various sections, optimizing residence time and process uniformity.

A fan supplies hot air from a heat generator, mixed with ambient air to obtain the desired operating temperature. The air is distributed evenly to each section through side ducts with adjustable inlets, allowing the airflow to be adapted to the product’s
requirements.

Once the target moisture content has been reached, the product can be discharged automatically by the metering system and discharge screw or retained inside the dryer for a cooling phase, during which the hot air is replaced with ambient air. If the product has not reached the required level of dryness after passing through all the sections, feeding is temporarily stopped until sufficient capacity is available to continue the process under optimal conditions.
