Conical Sheller

The product is fed into the machine through the inlet hopper at the top. It then passes through the calibrated gap between two concentric cones, one hollow and the other solid. Owing to the different inclination of their walls, the clearance between the cones becomes progressively smaller. When the product calibre is greater than the distance between the cones, friction eventually breaks the shell. Finally, the product and shell are directed to the next machine through the outlet hopper, where a suction inlet can be fitted to separate part of the shell.
