Silo

The silo is designed for the temporary storage of granular products such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios, and other nuts, ensuring a continuous and safe flow to subsequent processing stages.

The product enters the silo through the upper loading inlet, where it remains stored until discharge. Optionally, the silo can incorporate a longitudinal receiving chute that distributes the product throughout its interior during filling, reducing the drop height and minimizing the risk of breakage or damage, particularly with fragile products.

The product is discharged from the bottom through a flow-control system, available with either manual or automatic operation, allowing the silo to be emptied in a controlled manner. Optionally, the unit can be fitted with side-mounted acrylic inspection windows, allowing the fill level and condition of the stored product to be visually inspected without opening the unit.
